Unable to install compass 1.16.3 on windows 10

Please install for current user instead of machine-wide installation.

Make sure your download looks like this:

Don’t use MSI.

I downloaded that one only. When i start installing, it says gathering information and just vanishes…

I was having the same issue with the .msi. I downloaded the .exe version, and ran it as admin to get a successful install on Win10
