Where did the 5zpop come from?

On her video she has “5zpop” after sandbox. Why? And where do I find that information for my own cluster?

Snapshot 2020-10-12 22.22.31

Trying to run
mongo “mongodb+srv://m001-student:m001-mongodb-basics@sandbox.mongodb.net/admin”

Hello and Welcome,

Good observation.

It is the ID for the cluster. You will find yours in the “connect” button (check under connect with the mongo shell, for example), and it’s important to keep it private.

mongo "mongodb+srv://user:pass@<clusterName>.<clusterID>.mongodb.net/<database>"

Or also

mongo "mongodb+srv://<clusterName>.<clusterID>.mongodb.net/<dbname>" -u <user> -p <password>

(there are many ways to specify the connection string)

Post a screenshot of what you are doing that shows the error you are getting.

Hi @Brandi_Bushman,

I hope you found @Santiago_Miranda’s response helpful. Let us know if you are still having any issue.

It looks like you might already be inside the mongo shell. Please share a screenshot of the command that you are running and the prompt where you are running it.

Hi !
Better to get many answers than none huh?!

I would try this:

  • Replace any quotes you have with double quotes (typing them).

Example:

mongo “mongodb://abc” -u mister -p nobody

should be:

mongo “mongodb://abc” -u mister -p nobody

where I manually replaced by ".
