Vagrant is not starting up

HI Team , im receiving the below error while bringing up the vagrant

C:\Users\prash>cd F:\m013\m103-vagrant-env

C:\Users\prash>vagrant up --provision
A Vagrant environment or target machine is required to run this
command. Run vagrant init to create a new Vagrant environment. Or,
get an ID of a target machine from vagrant global-status to run
this command on. A final option is to change to a directory with a
Vagrantfile and to try again.

Can you please help me

Have a look at your prompt, you didn’t successfully cd into the vagrant folder. Potentially a spelling mistake, m013 should be m103?

Thanks for correcting me . it should be ok now

done successfully . if i shutdown my laptop vagrant will also goes down ?? if yes , can i bring it up by using command vagrant up.

You’ll need to consult the VirtualBox forums for that but it’s better to shutdown (halt) or hibernate (suspend) the VM before hibernating your host machine. There are some known issues with hibernating/shutting down host machines without properly powering down your VM.

Here are some basic commands you’ll most like be using:

  1. Hibernate
    vagrant suspend
  2. Resume after hibernation
    vagrant resume
  3. Shutdown
    vagrant halt
  4. Bring the machine back on after halting or from new
    vagrant up
  5. Destroy the machine… i.e. kill everything
    vagrant destroy -f

Refer to the documentation for more.
