Unable to install mongo shell on mac

I followed all the steps mentioned in the instructions, but i get an error when i try to connect to mongodb.

It will be easier to help you if you tell us the error you got. Better, yet, post a screenshot of the issue.

When i type the command: mongo --nodb; it says “command not found: mongo”

You are missing the step where you set your path.

I did set my path as per the instructions

Hi @moulya_somasundara,

Can you please run this command and share the output with us ?

echo $PATH

It would be great if you can share a screenshot of the output.

There is a space after bin in mongodb path
Please remove it save the file and try again
It should work

Hi @moulya_somasundara,

Please do as @Ramachandra_37567 suggested for the resolution of the issue.

Where can I remove that extra space in etc/paths file as I don’t see it

How did you remove the training space in etc/paths file as I’m running into same issue.

Please move your cursor to the end on mongodb path and remove extra space

Not sure what was different than earlier but it worked this time.

Hi @Krishna_K,

There is a space after bin
