SUGGESTION: Mongo vs Spring Data Mongo Reactive

Would be nice have a extra (bônus) class showing use of Spring Data Mongo Reactive and differences between implementations demonstraded on this course and how we could do with Spring Data Mongo Reactive and, if possible, explaining any tradeoff existent.

Hi @marcelmfa,

We decided to focus this course on how the driver works and how to operate natively between Java and MongoDB.
That said, we are making plans for the next iteration of this course material, and extended content on ODMs and other Java frameworks are options that we are thinking of.

Hi!
Is there a difference in performance and convenience between Mongo-driver-Sync and Spring Data MongoDB libs?
What is preferable to use for real work?
Thanks!

Hi @Victor_69915,

Spring Data MongoDB libs wrap the driver.
The biggest difference is related with the integration within the Spring Data project, where some terms and concepts are generalized in Spring Data to support all types databases.

What is preferable to use for real work?

This generally depends on your level of comfort with the library/framework and how dependent you want to be from one or another.
