The aforementioned menu choice in Compass is misleading. The info that is shared is a report about the characteristics of the documents in the collection. It does not contain a conventional json schema or mongodb’s version of the same. It is not usable in mongodb’s own collection validation, which is the origin of this complaint.
Really there should be an export button on the schema analysis tab, the menu placement of the command is inconsistent.
