Plain text comunication using LDAP authentication

Hi, the lesson about LDAT authentication says that communication between MongoDB and Sasld is unencrypted. Also the communication between MongoDB and clients is in plain test.
Is it correct?
If I choose other authentication metods, the communication tto clients is encrypted?
