MongoDB Operator 1.8 on Red Hat OpenShift 4.5. Can you skip the install of Ops Manager?

Following instructions at Install the MongoDB Enterprise Kubernetes Operator — MongoDB Kubernetes Operator 1.18. At the end of the doc, it says you can create an instance of Ops Manager and deploy MongoDB resources.

Do you have to install Ops Manager or can you skip to deploy MongoDB resources?

I found out that if you install the MongoDB Operator in OperatorHub, you can then connect it to cloud.mongo.com and don’t have to do a local Ops Manager install within the kube cluster.

Also the MongoDB Operator cannot connect to an Atlas-based organization in cloud.mongodb.com. It must be of type Ops Manager-based organization in cloud.mongodb.com
