Guys… stumbled into yet another issue… while trying to do mongod --noauth, it hangs on this piece:
I NETWORK [HostnameCanonicalizationWorker] Starting hostname canonicalization worker
I’ve tried a few times already and I’ve got to ^C to get out of there. Any ideas/suggestions? Let me know if you need the whole trace. Thanks!

That is an Information message at startup. I don’t need the whole trace ! Although, I’m going to need more information in order to help.
Are you using the supplied environments ? What lecture or assignment are you working on, etc. You may just need to use --fork to run the mongod server in the background
