Mlaunch --single

when I amdoing mlaunch --single it is getting failed with the below error.

Well, I’m going to make a couple of assumptions here: first, that you’re doing this in the VM; second, that you have correctly removed any old data files from the default data directory (/home/vagrant/data/db) and third either that the log file (/home/vagrant/data/mongod.log) doesn’t exist or that there’s no additional information there.

On those assumptions, I would recommend that you stick to the full command format, and use mlaunch init --single rather than try a short-cut. That works just fine in my VM. Good luck.

You should not store the data files in /shared folder.
In other words, if you’re going to run
mlaunch --single
, run a
cd /home/vagrant
first. However, you should be fine running
mlaunch init --replicaset --sharded 4 --wiredTigerCacheSizeGB 0.5 --dir /data/m312SH --port 30000 --host localhost --oplogSize 10
from /shared because mongod will store the data in /data/m312SH.
