In this section, Julia went straight to explaining in browser IDE, and shell.
Yes she mentioned briefly that it’s a space to practice what we learn and get graded.
I looked and cannot find where to access it, so it got me a bit confused continuing the video lecture.
Is it a common term IDE, does it stand for something?
What is shell and how does it work with mongoDB, is it a linux thing I think I read about it before.
Would be great for a bit clarity on these two questions (IDE and shell) from anyone, thanks.
I think I’ll just continue with the next lecture to finish it quickly.

Yes. Integrated Development Environment

As explained in the lesson where the IDE is presented, it is in the web browser as part of the course material. In my version of the course, the following is indicated in this lesson:

In this course you will find IDE labs in the following chapters:

  • Chapter 1: 1 lab at the end of the chapter.
  • Chapter 2: 1 lab, and 1 sandbox space at the end of the chapter.
  • Chapter 3: 1 sandbox space at the end of the chapter.
  • Chapter 4: 1 sandbox space at the end of the chapter.
  • Chapter 5: 1 sandbox space at the end of the chapter.
