Homework 1.6: Enabling LDAP Authentication on a Replica Set

ON database VM , i am not able to edit the file /etc/default/saslauthd
when i do sudo vim /etc/default/saslauthd it creates a new file
So i am not able to see the /etc/default/saslauthd file on database VM.

Please help

The file is owned by root
So we are using sudo vim to edit the file
In the lab they would have asked us to add or change some values
Why you cannot see the file?
Once you edit you will see the file with latest timestamp
