Getting error while connecting using Compass - getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND url

I am getting error - “getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017” when connecting using COMPASS

Hi @Khushboo_48558,

  1. Please make sure you have entered all the parameters correctly.

  2. Please make sure you are able to ping the cluster by running the command mentioned below in your terminal.

    ping cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net

  3. You can confirm that port 27017 is not blocked by clicking on http://portquiz.net:27017

On some occasions, even though the above mentioned tests passes, network/firewall is still a problem. So please make sure you are not connected to any VPN network and the firewall/antivirus is disabled. if it does not resolve the issue then try to connect from some other network such as your home network .
