Different meanings for a single word

In Chapter 2: Replication, Write Concerns: Part 1 ,timestamp 0:33 , what do you mean with Trade-off, “The trade-off with increased durability is time.”
Trade-off as a compensation, sacrifice, or exchange ?, because it has different meanings.

Hi !!

If you want durability, you have to pay with time. That’s the trade-off.

For the data to be durable, it needs to be written to a certain number of servers (that you specify). Only after that, client receives the acknowledgement.

Then, the trade-off of write concerns is time.
