I’m doing the workspace assignment Chapter 2: Importing, Exporting, and Querying Data - Your Chapter 2 IDE space
When i try the show dbs command
it throws the error “show:command not found”
Should i try all of this in my mongo shell / workspace ?
Any help/directions is appreciable.
Yes, inside the Mongo shell (not the bash shell).
Did you connect to the cluster using mongo <yourURI>?
I too am having difficulties connecting into Mongo Shell. I believe I am following the instructions properly - I have selected “I have mongoshell”, picked the correction version, copied/pasted the connection string into the IDE shell, but get a string of errors after I add my password

Visit Atlas. Under security → network access there is the option to whitelist IPs. For learning purposes, set that one to 0.0.0.0/0 which is equivalent to access from anywhere.
thank you so much - that resolved my issue; it did not occur to my my IP address may have changed!
