Hi, I installed Mongo 3.4.

Here is the error message when i run the command : mongo “mongodb://cluster0-shard-00-00-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-01-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-02-jxeqq.mongodb.net:27017/aggregations?replicaSet=Cluster0-shard-0” --authenticationDatabase admin --ssl -u m121 -p aggregations --norc

Your connect string looks fine.I can connect
Check if quotes are the issue.Use straight quotes

or try SRV type of string

You may test using this link too

http://portquiz.net:27017/

Provided by Nathan the instructor for M121. You should see a plain html page and this line “you arrived to this page on port 27017” or something of the sort.

It’s another way to test the port is not blocked by firewall config (afaik). It seems not to be the problem. But just in case.

The video is outdated. I successfully connected using Mongo 4.0 (when they showed to download 3.4). Here is the warning message I get though :

MongoDB server version: 4.2.10
WARNING: shell and server versions do not match

I am going to install 4.2 for this course.
Thanks for the help !
