Basic M312 start up question

MongoDB University M312: Diagnostics and Debugging

all installed fine with shared file and hostname confirmed good… and even though this all very alike prior courses there is a point I don’t understand about this infrastructure set up:

  • am using Win 10 PC, not server, that gets turned off, and so when a new start the steps are (?)
  • cd m312-vagrant-env
  • vagrant up
  • vagrant ssh

am not sure whether the ‘up’ is needed with each start or whether that initial up is held in disk memory…

You need not start every time
You can check status by vagrant status
If it is up and running no need to start again
Sometimes you see status as aborted or power down due to your system reboot or if you have used vagrant halt/vagrant suspend
In such cases need to start with vagrant up
