Atlas FTS index consistency

Hello,
I couldn’t find details on the consistency guarantees of Atlas FTS indexes. As far I can see, indexes are based on change streams. That means indexes are eventually consistent with actual documents and ‘$searchBeta’ operator does not provide read-after-write guarantees even in a single document transaction use cases.

Is this a reasonably accurate description on how Lucene indexes on atlas work?

Hi Neelesh -

Yes, Atlas Search indexes are based on change streams, and only provide eventual consistency.

We currently have no plans to support a stronger level of consistency.
